BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE General Accounts in the amount of $87,837.46 and Payroll in the amount of $20,963.31 be passed and paid. Carried.
Mr. Brian Bigelow reported of the following:
– site visit to Gillies Lake Road
– Union Gas – violation order for the furnace and work order for the other furnace and boiler
– Private Plowing – some will be discontinued as buildings have been erected
– Mud Lake Road construction is now completed.

Chief Laitinen expressed his concern with the Cobalt Refinery site and would like to meet with Mr. Rice. The Clerk-Treasure has forwarded an invitation to Mr. Rice to attend a meeting of Council.

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
Chitaroni Subdivision – deferred to the next meeting , will be dealt with in camera
Purchase of hall furniture – Councillor Marcella advised suppliers will provide chair samples for Council’s consideration.
Aggregate Resources – Councillor Perry will prepare a letter for the next meeting of council
Review by-law for maintenance of property – Council approved the sample by-law which will be merged with the present by-law.
Works Department – job description – Mr. Bigelow will review and update the present job description.
Radio Auction – a one week tenting spot at Bass Lake Park for the Summer of 2012 will be donated to the Radio Auction for 2011.
CCLT – purchase of sign – The Clerk-Treasurer will look into the purchase of the sign for the Northern Section.
Recycling Survey summary – Council will review the summary. The matter will be discussed at the next meeting of council

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to donate $2,000.00 to the Cobalt Public Library. Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to donate $174.00 to Community Living Temiskaming South which represents the Township of Coleman’s per capita for 2011.Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to donate $3,200.00 to the Town of Cobalt for children participating in Minor Hockey and Figure Skating. Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Municipal Employees be paid for 2011 overtime and holidays not taken during the year. Carried.
Motion 11-11-19 MOVED BY Pat Tresidder and SECONDED BY Cathy Marcella:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to purchase (20 lbs) turkeys for all Members of Council and Township Employees and hams for the Volunteer Firemen.
In addition 1 ham and 2 large turkeys will be purchased for the Annual Christmas Dinner at the Golden Age Club on December 25th, 2011 and one large turkey for the Coleman Fire Department annual holiday celebration. Carried.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to pay the honorarium to the Property Standards Committee for the year 2011. Carried.
Council reviewed correspondence received from the Ministry of Natural Resources regarding the Temiskaming Nordic Ski Club Request to purchase Crown land. The Clerk-Treasurer to invite a member to the Club to attend the next regular meeting of council.
Council reviewed correspondence received from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services regarding Daily Consolidated Situation Reports.
Bass Lake Committee
– Councillor reported that the Committee has inspected the cabins at Bass Lake Park
– A meeting is scheduled for the last week in November and recommendations for the budget will follow.
Planning and Development
– Councillor Cote advised Council has held the first meeting for the Official Plan review.
Public & Safety
– Councillor Tresidder advised the Works Department is getting ready for winter.
