Minutes of a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, 937907 Marsh Bay Road, Coleman Township, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA

Motion 11-11-01 MOVED BY Pat Tresidder and SECONDED BY Cathy Marcella:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approved the agenda for the special meeting of November 2nd, 2011 as presented. Carried.

DISCLOSURE OF ANY PECUNIARY INTEREST

Councillor Perry declared a pecuniary interest with matters dealing with The Voice and Speaker.

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

1. The Clerk-Treasurer brought various concerns, questions and notices to Council’s attention.

2. Council reviewed and commented on Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Official Plan.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Council considered the following requests for ads

Speaker – Holiday Party Guide

Motion 11-11-02 MOVED BY Cathy Marcella and SECONDED BY Pat Tresidder:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to purchase an ad in The Voice in the amount of $99.00 for the Coleman Christmas Bazaar and Showcase. Carried.

Motion 11-11-03 MOVED BY Pat Tresidder and SECONDED BY Susan Cote:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Treasurer be authorized to purchase an ad in The Speaker for Remembrance Day in the amount of $128.00. Carried.

WHEREAS Section 239(2) states that a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to
the public if the subject matter being considered is:
(a) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local
board employees;
(b) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals,
affecting the municipality or local board;
(c) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications
necessary for that purpose;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to reconvene in closed session at 6:30 p.m. to
discuss the following matter: Hound Chute Dam.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to reconvene in open session at 6:45 p.m. without a report. Carried.
